Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · Testing-phase notice — this covers what we collect and why in plain terms while Dreampoop is in early testing. A fuller, more detailed policy will replace this one at general release.
What we collect
- Account info: email, username, display name, avatar, bio.
- Content you post: dream text or voice recordings, comments, reactions, who you follow/block.
- Behavioral/usage data: which app actions you take (posting, reacting, reposting, following, viewing the feed/map/a profile, searching, opening the compose screen, signing up/logging in) and when. We log the action and minimal context (e.g. a reaction's score, whether a post is text or voice) — not the content of what you typed into search. This data is tied to your account when you're logged in.
How we use it
- Operating the app itself (showing your feed, notifications, profile, etc.).
- Understanding how the app is actually used, to improve it during testing.
- Evaluating business directions for Dreampoop, which may in the future include licensing or sharing aggregated or structured usage data with a third party (e.g. as part of a product acquisition). Dreampoop itself will always remain free to use. If this ever moves from evaluation to an actual arrangement, we will update this policy and seek your consent before your data is shared, not after.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your email or contact details to advertisers.
- We don't store the raw text of what you search for — only its length and whether it matched anything.
- Voice recordings and dream text are yours — deleting a dream removes it.
Third-party services
We use Supabase for authentication and file storage. Your password is never seen or stored by us directly — Supabase handles it.
Questions
This is a solo/small-team project in active testing. If you have questions about your data, reach out through the app.
